Enlightenment:

The quiet acceptance of WHAT is and an open mind there’s a better life plan.

The above  is a bite-sized excerpt of an article I wrote on Oprah about how to bounce back from challenging times.

    Karen,

I appreciate your above definition, or rather, interpretation, of enlightenment.
Quiet and acceptance are certainly two words that sound like they should be unequivocally included in any reasonable discussion of enlightenment!

Many people tend to think of enlightenment as some sort of top of the mountain feeling, in which “everything” suddenly makes total sense. I believe that attaching ourselves to notions like this will only hinder our chances of knowing true enlightenment, which also might be loosely defined as “an ever-growing connection with the Unified Field, or Source of all creation”.
    Thanks for the thought!

    Best wishes,

    Peter
